This show was a make up show for one originally scheduled at Jaxx in February which had to be postponed because Mudvayne frontman Chad Gray was seriously ill.  Mudvayne was doing a much smaller tour then playing clubs as a tribute to their fans-  at a low ticket price of $20 which barely covered the cost of their tour, if that.  On this second trip through Jaxx, they were in the middle of a much bigger tour playing larger arenas and with a much more elaborate sound and light system. (On first show date in February, Mudvayne were using Jaxx house sound & light system)  Mudvayne, in an effort to try to make up to their fans the inconvenience of having to return for the show two months later, decided to really give them a treat and use some of their "arena" equipment in a small club.  This took about 7 hours to set up and the results were spectacular.

Mudvayne's show required a massive effort on their part.  Even with all this equipment stuffing the small confines of Jaxx Night Club, much was still left in the trailer.

Jaxx's electrical system was stretched to the limit to satisfy the massive Mudvayne needs, but everything worked perfectly.

Mudvayne brought their own elaborate F.O.H. sound board as well as another huge board at stage left.

Mudvayne brought Jeff Rials on this tour to handle the elaborate light show.  Jeff has been in the concert lighting field for over 8 years and has handled major shows and artists before including an arena tour with Dolly Parton.  Jeff is seated next to the highly computerized Mudvayne system with a multitude of controls including a touch sensitive screen.  The complexity of this show was probably the most massive in Jaxx history.

Fans are poised and ready for Mudvayne's imminent arrival.

Mudvayne came out swinging and had the crowd going early.  They played the first five cuts off their latest release "Lost and Found" which first hit the store shelves 3 days earlier.

Songs played included -Determined, Pushing Through,  Happy?,  IMN and Fall Into Sleep as well as many of their older classics.  This may have been one of the loudest shows in Jaxx history, yet had the benefit of no distortion.  Decibels were kept under 110.

Chad got interactive early and leaned on the front row fans for support.  They loved it.

Chad apologized profusely for having to postpone the earlier show and genuinely thanked the fans for sticking with them and returning.  Most would agree it was more than worth the wait.

Fans were well behaved all night and had some serious fun moshing.  To my knowledge, only the one knucklehead who jumped the stage was ejected.  He missed the rest of a great show.

Chad Olech works the controls during show.  Chad is Mudvayne's Tour Manager and F.O.H. Sound Engineer.  He had a long day and did a hell of a job.

Chad and Jeff were busy all evening.  Hi Tech and Metal make a great marriage.

   That lighting system was sweet.

Dedicated Mudvayne Fans Josh & Brian were the first official people in line shortly after 2 PM.  Doors were not scheduled to open till 7 PM.  They were on the rail and got to see the band close up during and after the show.

Liz & Karen both had a great time at the show.  They both bought CD's and stayed after.  (That's fake blood on Karen BTW)

In a promotion with Sony BMG Music &  Record and Tape Traders, anyone who purchased a copy of Mudvayne's new "Lost and Found" CD at the show was issued an "After Show Signing Pass" and could stay to have it autographed by the band.  Very nice.  Almost 100 CD's were sold, some by people who already purchased the album days before.

The band assemble in the hallway for a quick couple of shots after the autographs.

For make up shows - it doesn't get any better than this.  Jaxx thanks all the fans for their patience and hope you had a great time!
