Jaxx veterans Re-Aligned got the crowd warmed up for Europe with a nice set of hard rockin' songs.  They'll be back in about six weeks opening for Funny Money.

The Bloodlines gang kept things going and did a fantastic job on very short notice.

Bloodlines has a mixture of very catchy original work and soon had the crowd singing along.  It's amazing to see the transformation of this band from their first appearance onstage at Jaxx just a few months ago.

Frontman Chris Bradford shows the difference a few shows can make.  His confidence and charisma have grown exponentially.  This is a fun band to watch!

Justin Gaines of  Metal Nation (a Yahoo Metal group) flew up from Atlanta to see Europe.  Justin has wide knowledge of metal, especially many bands from the 80's.  He is a Jaxx veteran and doesn't mind making the trip for a great show that doesn't get down to the Atlanta area.

It's not easy getting rock superstars together for a photo.  Thanks to the guys and Tour Manager Larry for letting me get a couple of shots.

Europe did a "meet and greet" in the Jaxx lounge with members of their fan club before the show.  They really took time to talk to fans and accommodate the numerous autographs.  Impressive and very nice.

Fans came from all over to see these legends perform in a small venue - including Japan.  Drummer Ian Haugland.

Europe concentrated on the new material from their latest release, Start   from the Dark including Flames, Hero, and the title track.   This album is quite heavy and modern.  Check out the review at The Metal Observer

Keyboardist Mic Michaeli.

Frontman Joey Tempest does an acoustic version of Carrie.

Lead guitarist John Norum laid down some blistering solos.  Very, very impressive.

Joey was energetic and tireless.  Damn good shape for a soon to be 42.

Rock the Night, Girl From Lebanon and Wings of Tomorrow were other songs performed.

Bassist John Levén was slightly late for the meet and greet, but he was right on time thereafter.

The encore included Cherokee and, of course, evening closer The Final Countdown.  Phenomenal!

Huge Europe fan Samaria drove all the way from Montana for the show.  Thirty one hours.  Great Hair.

Very impressive show for a band that has not toured in over 15 years and pretty cool to have a group of this caliber & reputation play at Jaxx.  They are starting from the dark again and having a lot of fun doing it.
