These are some higher quality (larger images) photos from the second Testament show at Jaxx Saturday night, June 4th. I really hadn't planned on taking pictures at this show and wanted to just sit back and enjoy it, but since I didn't get a good group shot of the guys on Friday (I could never get all 5 of them together at one time), I was determined to try again and I finally succeeded minutes before they took the stage for the Saturday show. Many thanks to Tour Manager King Lewie who went out of his way to accommodate me on a couple of different things. I owe you one man. While not quite as historic as Friday's show, in some ways it was better in that it seemed less structured and a little more "shoot from the hip". Chuck was in fine form again and the sound got tweaked just a little more thanks to George G. See my review of Friday for other details from that show -
Testament Show Pics - June 3, 2005
Tour Manager King Lewie (aka Rob) flew in from the Bay area, California to help Testament on this mini 3 day US Tour. He did a hell of a job and is one of the most organized tour managers I have ever met. Computerized and detail oriented.
The band was kind enough to give me two takes minutes before heading on stage. I really wanted these shots bad as I had scoured the internet for a decent picture of all of them together again and couldn't find one. As with all my pictures, I consider them shareware and you don't have to ask my permission to use them on your site. Louie wasn't as pissed as he looks! Gotta look metal! These guys are all very friendly and a credit to the metal community.
Great color in some of these shots. It's a crappy old camera, but it has great color rendering.
Chuck was even more gregarious than Friday and the whole band was having another great time. Tonight was Alex's turn to say a few words into the mike and he thanked the Jaxx audience. Chuck had spent part of the day exploring the sites in DC and used those thoughts to lead into Let Go of My World.
Greg like to get up on the drum riser and just play. Eric and Alex had some great moments.
Chuck gets into playing air guitar. Who can blame him!
Louie got a lot of flak over the internet on his supposed inability to keep up to the demands of a live set. This guy kicked major ass and was solid as a rock both nights. I guess a lot of people will now be eating their words. Bon Appetit!
Eric and Chuck after the show signing autographs and sharing a few words with a wheelchair bound fan.
Alex poses for a quick close up before heading back to the room. If you have never seen this man perform live, don't miss your next chance.
Well - that's all I've got for a non-working night - LOL. We need to get these guys back soon and lets all hope for a new album. Jaxx Staff Photographer, Susan Bardenhagen (a real photographer) took some 35mm shots of this show and as soon as I get the shots from her, I'll have some up on this page. So check back!
