Well, finally! The legendary power/speed metal merchants Stratovarius make it to US shores after 20 years in existence. Hopefully. they will make more regular visits here in the future. I don't think anyone in the audience was disappointed as they performed brilliantly in front of a large, but not capacity crowd. Jaxx adds another world famous quality metal band to its bulging alumni roster and local area fans are treated to another special show. 2005 will go down in Jaxx history as an incredible year.

Skins master Jörg Michael left Saxon to join Stratovarius on this tour.
Jens Johansson on keyboards. Not only plays superbly, but also expert in on the fly board repairs.
The ever cheerful Lauri Porra on bass.
Timo K and the rest of the band arrived shortly after the set to meet with the fans and sign memorabilia. Always a nice feature of Jaxx is how accessible it is to the fans when the bands like to mingle. I took this opportunity to introduce Timo and Lauri to America's finest beer, (IMHO) Anchor Steam. They were genuinely impressed.
Thanks to a gracious fan, I was able to get a post show shot of the set list. It was already sporting a couple of autographs.
