I've gotten permission by one of the local bands (Todesbonden) to video record their performance on Friday evening... will I be allowed to bring in a small video recorder (a Flip Ultra)? I won't be doing any other recording, just Todesbonden's set.

Brett, sorry for the late reply, if you need a timely answer in the future email me at the jaxxwebmaster at gmail dot com address.

The answer to your question is maybe. You'll just have to ask at the door if it's ok, maybe promise them to take it out to your car right after Todesbonden is done.

The official policy of the club is no video taping is allowed unless it has been approved by a band in advance and they have notified us. This is the policy for national, international, and touring bands. Anyone caught videotaping will have their camera confiscated and they will be removed from the show.

However, locals are always happy for good videos and the exposure. Just be sure you actually have their permission to video their set. It's always good to be sure.
