Country Nights????

I know, I know, what in the hell am I thinking? It was brought up as a joke in conversation but if Jaxx is looking to make some extra cash, who is most likely to eat lots of burgers and drink lots of alcohol? Those good ol cowfolk is who. They also like beat up and run down places to hang out just like all of metalheads and rock and rollers. Jaxx already has the eye-candy behind the bar to drive the guys to keep coming back for more and there is ample enough room for them to dance and have a good time. I am also willing to bet that with today's pop/rock/country the way it is there will be some crossover fans coming to both rock and country shows. It may sound like nails on a chalkboard to say country night at Jaxx but with the probability of people spending $$$ it doesn't seem all that bad.

This is probably before your time but quite awhile ago there was a restaurant in Springfield where the Marriott Courtyard on Commerce Street is now. Blackie's House of Beef, there's one still in DC I think. They had huge Country nights there every week. When they place closed down Jay did start booking Country acts but the expected crowd looking for a new place from Blackies never appeared. He had a few good nights here and there and some big names but nothing much came of it so he stopped it. The one really cool show he had was Tim McGraw, every time he plays a town in their arena the night before he picks some club to play at for Charity, the place was a mad house.
The biggest problem is Jay doesn't have the time needed for some things to take off, if it takes too long it's costing him money he can't afford to lose.
