Is it possible to reserve some tickets to future shows. My wife and I will be at a show in late July and there are several other shows(4 to be exact) we would like to get tickets to while there. We have asked before when we were there and it just seems to be impossible to get.

Most of the tickets are sold through TicketMaster, some are sold for a period of time Exclusively by Enter The Vault and then by TicketMaster, a very few shows only sell tickets at the door (VERY rare), and some promoters sell tickets on their own such as Gorilla Music, also nearly every local band on a show has tickets to sell. Almost every show on the calendar has a link to buy tickets (on the graphic calendar its a link next to the show time that says "Tickets," on the regular calendar at the bottom of each show listing it's a green button that says "Tickets."

Aside from TicketMaster, the Promoters and the bands you can also buy a ticket at the club for a future show. This is only on a night the club is open as there is no one there when there is no show. You can come in and buy with cash, or you can use a credit card, you can also call the club (again only on a night they're open) and use a credit card over the phone. There is a service charge ($2 I think) PER Ticket for using a credit card. No charge for cash.

Thats why I posted the question. We have tried to buy tickets to a future show while at the club and the guy at the door is always overwhelmed and cleearly doesnt want to do it. We spoke with Jay at the Sevendust show and he said to go to the front door later and sure enough no one has any tickets to upcoming shows. The economy is tight and I love going to concerts so if I can save some money by not using Ticketmaster and paying their outlandish fees that leaves me some extra cash to buy another ticket. I guess I will try to do the over the phone thing while the club is open.   Thanks

Buying from local bands is the best if you have the time, some will even deliver to you. The bands get credit (and money) for every ticket they sell so it's a good way to support them. Buying at the club really depends on who is at the door, how busy they are, and if they need to go print tickets if they can get someone to watch the door. The ticket printer is upstairs. Check the websites of local bands playing the show you want to see and they will tell you how to get a ticket from them.

One thing to keep in mind, if you try to buy tickets to an upcoming show that is many months off, they might not even have the tickets printed yet to actually sell you at the door. I go to Jaxx a lot and unless I think a show will sell out very quickly, I usually just buy my ticket for the next concert I want to attend when I'm leaving at the end of the night. The employees working the door tend to be less busy then too.
