Hey there! My band THE SLOW BURN is an area band with a strong local following that plays extensively throughout the DC area. We played Bangkok Blues on 10/16 and brought in 37 paying customers.
We have heard good things about JAXX and would love to play there.
Our music is "melodic rock with an edge". We have a large catalogue of covers and originals. Our covers include songs by Elvis Costello, Pretenders, Tom Petty, Bob Marley, The Clash, and Bob Dylan, to name a few. The originals are in that vein.
We have played IOTA, Fat Tuesday's, The Grog & Tankard (may it rest in peace!), The Austin Grill (Silver Spring and Alexandria), Bangkok Blues, Jammin' Java, and other area venues. Members of the band have also played some legendary New York venues, including The Bitter End and CBGB (may it rest in peace!)
